Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok raises a #KiloOfKindness in September with major CSR campaign

Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok, the holistic health-focused urban retreat, continues to make a positive impact on society and serve its local community. In September, the resort teamed up with Mövenpick’s other hotels and resorts in Thailand, and worldwide, to donate a #KiloOfKindness to underprivileged people across the Kingdom!

Launched to coincide with the United Nations’ International Day of Charity, the #KiloOfKindness campaign is an annual initiative that invites hotel guests, partners and stakeholders to give at least one kilo of food, clothing or educational supplies to those in need.

From 1-30 September 2021, Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok and its five sister properties across the country – Mövenpick Residences Ekkamai Bangkok, Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok, Mövenpick Resort Khao Yai, Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hin, and Mövenpick Resort Bangtao Beach Phuket – collected vital supplies, such as books, toys, stationery, canned and dried foods, baby supplies, clothing and more. Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok achieved 1,000 kilograms of donations, which marks a significant increase compared to previous years.

The hotel’s donations were delivered to the Mirror Foundation, a Thai not-for-profit organisation, which distributed them as part of its Kru Bannok project, supporting remote rural schools in northern Thailand. This shows that small acts of kindness can make a big difference to the lives of disadvantaged people – especially during such a challenging time.

It is truly heart-warming to see how our friends and partners have come together in support of the #KiloOfKindness campaign. After such a difficult 18 months, it is more important than ever that we help those less fortunate than ourselves. I am thrilled by the response to our month-long charitable drive and I would like to thank everyone for their contributions. Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok will continue striving to be a force for good in the local community,” said Bruno Huber, General Manager, Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok.

Since it was launched five years ago, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ #KiloOfKindness campaign has generated 21,921 kilos of vital supplies for underprivileged people all around the world. The company is now aiming to reach 25,000 kilos by the end of the year. To learn more about this global CSR initiative, please visit www.movenpick.com/en/akiloofkindness.
