Radisson RED Phuket: Bold & Social Hospitality in Thailand

Radisson Hotel GroupRadisson RED is set to shake up Thailand’s hospitality scene with the signing of its first hotel in the country, Radisson RED Phuket Patong Beach. This vibrant, 390-key property is part of Radisson Hotel Group’s ambitious strategy to double its portfolio of operating hotels in Thailand by mid-2024. With its bold, playful design and social spaces, Radisson RED presents a contemporary twist on conventional hospitality that is ideally suited to Thailand’s young, tech-savvy travellers.

Scheduled to open in late 2023, the Radisson RED Phuket Patong Beach will be fully renovated and relaunched in line with Radisson RED’s brand standards. Located in the heart of Patong Beach, Phuket’s main commercial district, the hotel is surrounded by retail malls, restaurants, and nightlife. The hotel is just 270 meters from the beach, making it an ideal base for tourists.

One of the hotel’s most striking features is the life-sized sculpture of a red lacquered elephant wearing earphones that will greet guests in the lobby. Guests can easily check in using the hotel’s app, which will provide a stress-free arrival experience. The hotel offers 390 rooms, all of which are hyper-connected with high-speed Wi-Fi, streaming services, and USB ports. The hotel also offers a range of room options, including Family Rooms with bunk beds and Party Rooms with dedicated fun spaces.

The rooftop beach club is the perfect place for guests to chill out, while the Warehouse offers alfresco dining specializing in rum and wine. The secret speakeasy lounge is ideal for partying late into the night, and the grab-and-go kiosk makes it easy to refuel. The power gym is a great place to work out, and wellness amenities like ice tubs and the Himalayan sea salt spa help guests rejuvenate. The resort offers two pools, including a rooftop pool, a movie theatre, a video arcade, and a kids’ club that will keep both young children and teens entertained.

Gary Murray, founder and CEO of Destination Group, which owns the hotel, said, “We are delighted to partner with Radisson Hotel Group once again and proud to introduce Radisson RED to Thailand for the first time. This innovative brand will attract the new generation of ‘always-on’ travelers who crave connectivity above all else. We are confident that this cutting-edge, contemporary concept, combined with the global strength and support of Radisson Hotel Group, will make this hotel one of Patong’s most exciting and coolest places to stay.”

Phuket is leading Thailand’s post-pandemic tourism recovery, having welcomed approximately 4.3 million international visitors in 2022, more than one-third of the country’s total 11.5 million arrivals last year. The island is expected to attract 12 million domestic and overseas visitors this year.
