Run & Explore: Westin’s Global Running Day

Westin Hotels & Resorts, hospitality’s global leader in wellness and part of Marriott Bonvoy’s® portfolio of 31 extraordinary brands, encourages guests to stay active while traveling and celebrate the upcoming Global Running Day. On June 7th, Westin hotels across Asia-Pacific will be hosting a variety of Global Running Day events along with their ongoing run programs that underscore the brand’s Move Well pillar – RunWESTIN®, WestinWORKOUT® Room, WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio, and WestinWORKOUT® Gear Lending programs – so that guests can stay fit while on the go.


Participate in an invigorating run with certified body transformation coach, marathoner and KOL, Kai, on Global Running Day. With over a decade of certification and extensive experience in sports, Kai has not only participated in numerous athletic competitions, but has also established her own boot camp in the Maldives and organized retreats across the globe. Guests are invited to Island Kitchen at The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort following the energizing run, where they can enjoy a rejuvenating breakfast made by Executive Chef, Jorge Colazo.


The Westin Yokohama will celebrate Global Running Day later in the month on June 22, with runs, raffle prizes, and beer. The hotel will be hosting an event called runWESTIN with On x Yokohama Beer, a three way collaboration between The Westin Yokohama, On, and Yokohama Beer. The event will offer two running courses of approximately 4km and 6km through the streets of Minato Mirai. After the run, participants can enjoy craft beer sponsored by Yokohama Beer or Eat Well refreshments prepared by the hotel.


The Westin Tokyo will be kicking off its Westin Wellness Month series in June with workshops and events open to guests and the local community. Join the running and conditioning workshop on Global Running Day which includes a 5km community run through the Ebisu neighborhood, followed by a body conditioning workshop and Eat Well inspired snacks and refreshments provided by The Westin Tokyo Food Truck. The hotel hosts monthly community run events on an ongoing basis, perfect for travelers who want to maintain their fitness routines while on the go.


Run through Hai Xin Sha Park, where the opening and closing ceremonies of the Asian Games in Guangzhou 2010 took place, next to Liede Bridge in Tianhe Distict. Then enjoy a post-run breakfast from Westin’s Eat Well menu at the lobby bar, paired with refreshing juices.


Guests are invited to invigorate their mind and body with a scenic run through Jiangsu Horticultural Exposition Park, led by The Westin Nanjing Resort & Spa’s RunWESTIN Concierge. Runners can then experience the Recover & Recharge Kit by Hyperice, as part of the next generation WestinWORKOUT® Gear Lending program, which includes Hyperice’s most sought-after recovery gear such as the new Normatec Go, Hypervolt Go 2, and Hypersphere Mini.


Celebrate Global Running Day with a city view run through Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay, followed by light refreshments at an outdoor infinity pool. The Westin Singapore’s very own RunWESTIN Concierge will be leading the run for in-house guests.
