Scoozi’s fresh, fun, new trendy makeover

Thailand’s Scoozi, a successful Italian restaurant chain with its first Bangkok location dating back to 1997, has been acquired by Thailand based Destination Eats (DE), a part of Destination Group (DG). DE has announced the rebranding, repositioning and relaunching of the well-known chain to Scoozi Urban Pizza.

The new Scoozi Urban Pizza brand repositioning will see a move away from fine-dining feel and move into fast casual dining experience which will become a destination for all. The new interior designs will offer a more modern and trendier vibe using repurposed materials, corrugated steel, exposed elements, and some graffiti artwork done by local artists.

Scoozi, Urban Pizza is all about fresh ingredients and having fun, coupled with a new take on modern Italian casual-dining and cuisine,” said Mr. Jourdan Perez, Managing Director of Scoozi Urban Pizza, adding, “Our focus is in delivering authentic and local flavors all across the city to a wider audience. We have elevated our menu with new fresh ingredients, and we have added some exciting new Thai, Japanese and Korean flavors.”

Scoozi Urban Pizza features authentic wood-fired Italian pizza, hand-made with flour sourced from Italy and toppings including a tasty range of authentic Italian produce and carefully-selected fresh ingredients sourced locally and responsibly from Thai farms. Naturally, an excellent range of Italian Starters, Pastas and Desserts are available with prices starting at 100 Baht for an appetizer through to 380 Baht for Scoozi’s top pasta. Red and white wines are available starting at 99 Baht per glass in addition to the selection of beers, spirits, and soft-drinks.

As part of the Scoozi Urban Pizza team Chef Arnie Marcella has been brought on board to enhance the menu, bring new flavors to Scoozi, and to achieve the mantle of The Best Pizza in Bangkok. Chef Arnie Marcella grew up in an Italian American neighborhood in the US and has 23 years of experience with a total of ten Michelin Stars and one Michelin Plate.

“Our exciting new signature dishes include Peking Style Duck Pizza (450 Baht), Fried Calamari Pizza (450 Baht), and our Seafood Okonomiyaki Pizza (450 Baht),” said Chef Arnie Marcella, adding  “We are also adding an exciting new section to our menu which includes homemade Calzone and Stromboli, perfect as an individual meal, for sharing, or as a snack on the go.”

In a growing trend to meet consumer demand a selection of frozen Scoozi products are under development and will be available including: Whole Pizza, Pizza Slices and a new innovation… Scoozi Pizza Home Making Kit with all ingredients to make your own pizza at home. In addition, Fresh Scoozi Pizza Sauce in jars will also be available.

Sharing good times with family and friends and savoring original wood-fired Italian pizza and authentic Italian food, is in high demand by Thai consumers, a demand Scoozi Urban Pizza is planning to meet.  The growth plan for Scoozi, Urban Pizza for 2021/2022 includes up to ten new locations at MRT – BTS and Food Court locations, three new Dine-in locations of 100 square meters each, five Shop House locations of 50 square meters each and a number of university locations.

Scoozi Urban Pizza outlets are open at key locations including: Sathorn 10: 10am – 10pm (12:30am for delivery), Central Chaengwattana: 11am – 8pm, Ladprao: 10am – 10pm (12:30am for delivery), Major Cineplex Ekkamai: 10am – 10pm , Premier Place: 10am – 10pm, Lighthouse: 10am – 10pm, Promenade: 10am – 10pm , Ari: 10am – 10pm (12:30am for delivery).
