Somtum Der Special Menu – Pla Kang

Kang, or Thai Redtail Catfish, is known for its soft and delicious meat and is a prized fish found in rivers throughout Thailand. In Isan, the fish is typically steamed or boiled and eaten with various dips or added to soups.

Starting from 1 August, we are pleased to offer our guests at Somtum Der a special seasonal menu featuring a variety of Pla Kang dishes, including Tom Som Pla Kang, an Isan-style clear soup with Thai herbs and sliced pla kang. Another highlight is Larb Pla Kang, a spicy Isan salad with boiled pla kang.

Somtum Der Redhook

Following the success of the first Somtum Der in New York opened six years ago, we’re proud to unveil another branch in the vibrant Redhook neighbourhood of Brooklyn. Opening in the middle of August, we Somtum Der Redhook will serve all our Somtum favourites including the Jaew Hon Isan hotpot. The design of Somtum der Redhook takes inspiration from Thailand’s national sport, Muay Thai with colour schemes kept in striking red and light wooden hues.

Granmonte Wine

We are excited to announce a collaboration with Granmonte Wines, an award-winning vineyard located in the picturesque Asoke Valley in Khao Yai. The cooler, hilly climate is ideal for making local wines and Granmonte Wine uses only estate-grown produce to produce its wines and juices.

Starting from August, guests can enjoy a new signature mocktail “Passion from Khao Yai” and cocktail “Supanniga Shiraz” using fresh Granmonte Shiraz grape juice. The juice is 100% natural without added sugar and preservatives.

Mekhong Pairing Menu

At Supanniga Eating Room Sathorn you can now enjoy a special Mekhong pairing consisting of Grilled Moo Cha Muang, a traditional dish with chunks of tender pork meat stewed with Cha Muang leaves and served with grilled sweet sticky rice, paired with Coconut Essence cocktail with Mekhong and fresh coconut juice.
