As part of the Green Roof Project for Friends in Need (of “PA”) Volunteers Foundation, Tetra Pak, the world’s leading food processing and packaging solutions company, donated 2,000 roof sheets to Ubon Ratchathani province to help rebuild devastated communities affected by the recent flooding in Aumphur Varin Chumrab and Piboon Mungsahan areas. Mr. Bert Jan Post (Middle), Managing Director of Tetra Pak (Thailand) Limited and Mr. Sarit Witoon (the 3rd from the right), The Governor of Ubon Ratchathani were present for the donation ceremony.

The roof sheets are the product of the Green Roof project — an initiative by Tetra Pak Thailand in collaboration with Friends in Need (of “PA”) Volunteers Foundation, Big C Supercenter, and TV 360 news program, whereby used beverage cartons are recycled into roof sheets. The project has been making a significant contribution to Thai society by giving roof sheets to those who were in need, and Tetra Pak plans to continue in its effort to support natural disaster victims and disadvantaged communities nationwide.
