THAI Appoints New Chairman of the Board of Directors

On 16 January 2020 in the 1/2020 Board of Directors meeting, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited’s (THAI) Board of Directors has appointed Air Chief Marshal Chaiyapruk Didyasarin as THAI’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Air Chief Marshal Chanyoot Sirithumakul as Vice Chairman, and Mr. Chakkrit Parapuntakul as Director, effective 16 January 2020.

Air Chief Marshal Chaiyapruk Didyasarin is currently 62 years of age and holds a Bachelor of Science (Aeronautical Engineering) from the Royal Thai Air Force Academy (Class 25); Flying Training School, RTAF (Class 72); Air Command and Staff College, RTAF (Class 37); Oversea Joint Welfare (Australia); Master of Business Administration Program in General Management, Ramkhamhaeng University; the National Defence College Course (Class 53); Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (Hawaii), U.S.A.; Logistics Technology for Executives at Institute for Defense & Business, University of North Carolina, U.S.A. and the Executive Program in Energy Literacy for a  Sustainable Future, TEA (Class 12).  He held the position of Deputy Director of Operations, Director of Intelligence, Director of Operations, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff, Assistant Commander-in-Chief (Support Services), and Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force. Previously, he was THAI Vice Chairman and THAI Acting Chairman. He is currently THAI’s Chairman of the Board of Directors.
