“THE STARS OF ITALY” – Michelin Star Chef Tano Simonato from Milano at Rossini’s

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok is excited to welcome Michelin star Chef Tano Simonato from Milano. The gifted chef is one of five of Italy’s highly acclaimed Michelin star chefs who will cook at five renowned Marriott hotel restaurants in Bangkok as part of the 11th Italian Cuisine & Wines World Summit from October 9 – 12, Rossini’s Italian restaurant at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok.

The opening of the prestigious culinary event will be launched at Rossini’s, a Michelin Plate     awarded restaurant, on Wednesday October 9 when all five Michelin star chefs will cook a special     5-course dinner. The memorable night of Italian fine dining is priced at just THB 6,500 net. From October 10 – 12, Chef Tano will also serve his dinner menu at Rossini’s.

The Italian Cuisine & Wines World Summit is the world’s biggest celebration of Italian cuisine. It brings together the best Italian restaurants, Michelin-starred chefs, food and wine producers, and culinary experts to celebrate, promote and educate consumers about the beauty of Italian cuisine and ingredients. This year’s summit kicks-off in Bangkok before moving on to Hong Kong and Dubai.

Chef Tano is the creative culinary tour de force behind the eponymous restaurant, Tano Passami l’Olio in Milano. Known for his love of olive oil (the restaurant name means “Tano, pass me the olive oil”), it is the foundation of his light and elegant signature dishes.

Tano Passami l’Olio was awarded a Michelin star in 2008. Numerous other prizes and awards followed, including “Best Table of the Year for the Critical & Golosa Guide”. Chef Tano says, “The most important ingredient in my kitchen is creativity, research and professionalism, but they must always be seasoned with a lot of passion and hard work. Even today, after 47 years of cooking, there is always something new and exciting to learn”.

Chef Tano’s “The Stars of Italy” 3-course set menu starts from THB 2,750 for dinner including a glass of Sicilian Cristo di Campobello ‘C’D’C’ wines from Texica.
