Our congratulations to Chef Sitichot Wanso (right), Junior Sous Chef of the Silver Waves Chinese Restaurant – pictured above with Chef Spencer Kell (left), Executive Chef of Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok – who was recently awarded two trophies at Thailand’s 24th International Culinary Cup (TICC) 2018. Chef Sitichot prevailed in the TICC competitions for Best of Innovation Cuisine (Professional), and World Street Food: Individual (Professional).

Chef Sitichot has been a force to be reckoned with at recent competitions, having won three Bronze medals at the Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge 2018 – in the categories of Main Course Duck Challenge Professional Individual, Main Course Lamb Challenge Professional Individual, and Asian Cuisine Professional – and a Silver in Street Food Innovation at the Makro HoReCa 2017.

The 24th TICC, which took place alongside a Food & Hotel Thailand (FHT) event, is Thailand’s largest and longest running international culinary arts competition. TICC presents a showcase of international and national culinary talent who compete in both individual and group competitions. This year, TICC attracted over 500 people from seven countries – Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, Myanmar, Japan, Vietnam and Malaysia.
