SKAL Mixer Le Crystal

Skal international Chiang Mai had their monthly dinner mixer event at the award winning Le Crystal restaurant last week, seated on the picturesque banks of the Mae Ping River, with another record number of 36 Members and Guests.

The evening got kicked off officially at 7:05 pm with a group picture thank you to Steve Yarnold and with the  Skal traditional toast from both President Jonky and Vice President Punnee eloquently featuring it in the Thai

language.The restaurant provided an assortment of tapas style dishes, including wagyu beef, duck, shrimp to name a few followed by a number of decadent desserts, in a standing/ sit optional type format.

Honorary guests included Khun Thiprada Visessurakarn, President of the Indrangkura foundation to the Royal Family, Khun Amm Pakkanan Winijchai Director of the Thailand Tourism Authority and Khun Sebastien Wilson General Manager of the Holiday Inn.

The evening included the singing vocal stylings From Khun Watthanne Saengsong, a graduate of Payap University college of music with honors.

As an added treat, and a bit of excitement the restaurant kindly provided two (2) gift certificate vouchers used as a lucky draw. Khun Martin Venzky-Stalling and Khun Gabriele Wilson gleefully accepted their names picked in winning fashion.

The evening final hour was spent casually sitting back and relaxing to the singing of Khun Fun with of course some light networking with new acquaintances, dear friends and business associates.

At approximately 9:30pm we all began saying our good-byes, with a final last chance business card exchange opportunity.

*Special recognition to our Secretary Mike Harley, for doing an outstanding job keeping our ship afloat with his meticulous attention to detail. And also Vice President Punnee for greeting our welcomed guests and being our Thai translation liaison.
