Casio Computer Co., Ltd., the Official Timekeeper for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 has designed a special collection of G-SHOCK shock-resistant watches, in support of the tournament and 11 participating teams, including Thailand.
The watch curated for the Thai team features an elephant image (Changsuek), that is representative of Thailand and the team’s strength. The limited-edition in Thai team’s blue colour will be presented to the Football Association of Thailand for use at the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 that is scheduled to be held from December 5, 2021, to January 1, 2022.
The AFF Suzuki Cup is an international soccer tournament organized by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). Over the years, Casio has supported the development of various sports with its G-SHOCK brand by signing on athletes who continually take on challenges with a tenacious spirit as brand ambassadors; sponsoring tournaments; and holding events. As part of these activities, Casio became a co-sponsor for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 to further promote soccer in the ASEAN region.
As part of G-SHOCK’s signature G-SQUAD line of sports watches, the GBD-100-1DR is designed with movement and agility in mind. It allows wearers to link continuously with a smartphone via Bluetooth to support auto time adjustments, phone notifications, step tracking, calorie counter and more. Direct connection to the phone’s GPS also enables quicker, more accurate calibration of distance measurements on the go. Used in combination with the stopwatch, wearers will be able to track running pace, as well as utilize the Auto Lap feature to automatically track time over a specific distance.
The GBD-100-1DR features a high-definition MIP LCD display with Super Illuminator face illumination for easy reading in the dark. The soft urethane band material provides improved comfort, with 200-meter water resistance.
