‘Wanyai’ (Olarn Chujai), the talented singer/songwriter, and the former guitarist of “Room39”, has emerged to the top as a solo artist in 2019, receiving the ‘Best New Asian Artist Thailand’ from Mnet Asian Music Awards 2019. The ceremony was held on 4th December 2019, at Nagoya Dome, Japan.
With heartfelt vocal work and unparalleled songwriting prowess, Wanyai’s debut single “เจ็บจนพอ” instantly made a big impact, currently racking up over 95 million YouTube views He then released three subsequent singles: “ลืมไป (Blind)”, ไปได้ดี “So Long”, and “หัวหิน(Huahin Loop)”. Each of them all comes with simple-yet-beautiful instrumentation, along with Wanyai’s genuine vocal that connects to the mass audience.
On his acceptance speech, Wanyai made genuine remark “I would like to give my deepest thanks to MAMA, for giving me this award. It means so much to me. A special thanks goes to all of my crew from LOVEiS Entertainment and Holyfox Records. Most importantly, thank you to all of my fans for your love and support since day one. From my hearts to yours.”
Presented by CJ Entertainment, Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) is Asia’s biggest music awards ceremony with the brightest stars and artists in music.
