Rosewood Bangkok invites guests to experience the taste of European summer with the launch of the exclusive “Summer Afternoon Tea”. Curated by Executive Pastry Chef Dustin Baxter, this afternoon tea experience promises to delight guests with a celebration of classic European confections and refreshing summer flavors at Lakorn.
Renowned for his finesse and creativity when it comes to desserts, Chef Baxter has designed a selection of cakes and pastries that are both light and refreshing — perfect for the summer season. The artful incorporation of fruits, including summer berries, rhubarb, yuzu, and pineapple, ensures a burst of fresh flavor in every bite.
The menu highlights shared dessert offerings such as the Tropical Baba, a Malibu-soaked brioche paired with pineapple coconut cream, and Citrus Scones served with raspberry jam and clotted cream.
From the dessert trolley, the selection is both rich and varied, including the Pistachio Financier, Rhubarb Pavlova, and the classic Paris Brest made with Dulcey Chantilly and hazelnut paste. Guests can also experience a taste of the classic European summer with Blueberry Tart and Strawberry Tart, or enjoy a refreshing citrus twist with Crème Fraîche Pound Cake featuring lemon cremeux, and the Mandarin Madeleine.
Complementing these sweets is a savory selection of finger sandwiches including Paris Ham with Pommery mustard and garlic aioli; Japanese Cucumber and radicchio with mint crème cheese and truffle Manchego cheese; as well as Cured Scottish Salmon with preserved lemon and salmon roe.
In addition to a variety of coffee options, guests can choose from an selection of France’s Mariage Frères loose teas and cold brew teas evocative of a leisurely summer picnic, featuring unique blends such as Hibiscus and Roselle, Chrysanthemum, and White Tea, known for its antioxidant benefits.
The “Summer Afternoon Tea” is now served daily from now – 31 August; 2 p.m. – 5 p.m., at Lakorn on the 7th floor of Rosewood Bangkok for THB 2,900++ per couple. Guests can also elevate the experience with two glasses of Drappier Carte D’Or Brut Champagne, France for THB 4,600++.
