JWD Art Space presents “Lightness and Weight,” an exhibition showcasing a series of new paintings by artist Narissara Pianwimungsa. This exhibition marks JWD Art Space’s second Pop-Up Exhibition in 2024, transforming our Private Viewing Room into an exclusive art venue filled with inspiration. “Lightness and Weight” is open to the public with free admission from 19 July – 18 August 2024 at the Private Viewing Room on the 3rd floor of JWD Art Space.
Dreams and imagination are like balloons filled with gas, floating freely in the air, while our daily lives and physical limitations act as the mass that pulls us to the earth. The works in “Lightness and Weight” metaphorically portray people without identifying gender or age. Through the use of unique shapes and painting techniques, they create an illusion of weight, exploring the dimensions of lightness and heaviness, dreams and reality, freedom and limitation. This ambiguous atmosphere reflects the dual states of life that occur simultaneously.
