Following multiple phases of remodelling and refurbishment, Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui joined its sister hotel in Kyoto and two in the Chinese cities of Huzhou and Xi’an as the fourth outpost of Garrya, Banyan Tree’s latest Wellbeing focused Brand. Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui is the very first Garrya in Thailand and is committed to crafting an exceptional travel experience that breathes local vibes in contemporary and simplistic ways. It will become the inaugural Thai property of a new wellness-focused brand from the Banyan Tree Group. Garrya Tongsai Bay Koh Samui, offers a sanctuary of 11 different types of luxurious suites and sea view villas with private pools. The resort’s location is secluded and peaceful, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and offering stunning views of the sea. The resort has its own private beach, which is only accessible to guests, providing the perfect place to relax and unwind. There are two common pools, one being for adults only and both overlooking the sea and providing the perfect place to soak up the sun.
The resort’s private sea view pool villas, provide the ultimate luxury and privacy. Eco-friendly materials and planting gardens with fresh produce both underline Garrya Tongsai Bay’s “Natural to the Core” concept along with abandoning traditional in-room extras such as plastic water bottles and printed collaterals.
All food waste from the hotel goes to a 100% recycling system, 60% to fertilize at the hotels own organic farm, 20% to a nearby pig farm, and 20% to the Animal care facility.
At the hotels organic farm cleaning detergent is made from Citrus peels as well as Charcoal for BBQ’s from unused wood and fertilizer from food waste.
The trio of dining venues at Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui all highlight local flavours. Rhoy Rhoy! Restaurant open for breakfast and dinner offers one of the best breakfast spreads on the island, complete with home-baked pastries, seasonal fresh juices from Juice Bar, locally sourced plant-based ingredients, and also serves unpretentious Thai Authentic Cuisine for lunch and dinner, sourced from the region where it originates. All dishes are made using only fresh ingredients. Open Daily for breakfast from 7:00 AM – 10:30 AM and dinner from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (dinner closed on Tuesday and Wednesday).
EVOL is the newest addition of the dining venues and offers an intimate location near the Half Moon Pool. Most ingredients are sourced locally or sourced from the very own farm whenever possible. EVOL is more than just a dining experience – it’s a celebration of creativity and nature. At EVOL, it’s about creating a dining experience that inspires guests to try new and exciting dishes that are not just tasty, but also nutritionally balanced and visually stunning. The innovative menu offers a variety of options, including vegan and plant-based dishes that are anything but boring or dull. Open 5 days a week (Monday – Wednesday / Saturday – Sunday) from 11.30 AM – 9.00 PM.
Fish Tales is a culinary gem that offers a market-fresh selection of seafood, prepared in both Thai and Western styles, with signature dishes that are cooked table-side for an immersive dining experience. The restaurant also offers creative pasta, pizza and salads, and a range of delectable plant-based dishes. Open daily 12:00 – 11:00 PM.
Spa cottages at the in-house 8LEMENTS SPA are amidst the hotel’s natural green surroundings, providing a haven of relaxation and beauty with a selection of fuss-free, accessible and relevant treatments, A space to recharge for wellbeing experiences has provided natural touch of massage along with an impressive high-quality products and services. The modern Thai style decoration is trendy but remains a traditional style of massage, open daily from 10:00 – 20:00 hrs.
The on-site Kids’ Club will offer leaf art and animal towel workshops as well as cookie decorating classes.
Adult activities such as cooking classes, fruit carving, movie night, yoga and stretching classes and Tongsai Wildlife Explorer are additional offers to complete a Garrya Tongsai Bay holiday.
Remote workers meanwhile, will find a 24-hour co-working space and “The Nest” which provides complimentary coffee, organic tea from Chiang Mai, a hydration station and homemade hotel products for their convenience, just off the lobby.
