AEON Thailand Foundation endows to support in wildfire protection of Si Lanna National Park, Chiang Mai

 Ms. Suporn Wattanavekin, Chairperson of AEON Thailand Foundation endowed 208,000 Baht to Si Lanna National Park, Chiang Mai for procuring fire extinguishing equipment, camouflage suits for officers, and food supplies under the wildfire and smog protection project, resulted from severe burning deforestation in the north of Thailand.

This caused the PM 2.5 crisis, especially in Chiang Mai province which ranked as the world’s most polluted city. The foundation has concerned about the issue which harms the health and living of the resident, as well as the environment and air condition in the region. It, therefore, has given support to the associated offices to alleviate the problem for over 12 years. This is another core value of the foundation in terms of enhancing a better quality of life and sustainability for the community and environment of the country.
