Aptly launched to warm up the palate during the rainy season, the menu item is to be extra special by being available for order both in-flight and prior to departure via Manage my Booking feature on the airasia Superapp.
Taking the experience even further are refreshing beverages made from genuine Lamphun province longans. The in-flight only drinks include Fresh Longan Juice and a Fresh Longan Americano topped with longan slices. AirAsia Thailand Head of Inflight Services, Ms. On-anong Methapipatkul said: “The healthy twist on Panang was particularly challenging and novel for AirAsia as it sought to make the dish completely plant-based but at the same time able to satisfy both vegans and non-vegans alike. Panang’s enchanting flavor was recently guaranteed by a top ranking from TasteAtlas, which placed the Thai curry in the number one position on its Best Rated Stews of the World ranking*. The accolade prompted AirAsia to choose Panang for its plant-based menu highlight.
“On top of the wonderful warm curry, we are also introducing fresh longan juice and longan americano drinks, a novel act that allowed us to assist longan farmers in Lamphun who expect to grow no less than 4 tons of longan during the third quarter between July and September” Ms. On-anong elaborated.
Meanwhile, Shredded Fish Rice that has proven to be very popular amongst guests will also continue to be available on AirAsia flights, alongside a new collection of souvenirs including an Airplane keychain with foldable bag, luggage strap and AirAsia Travel Set.
