The St. Regis Bangkok presents the launch of its latest afternoon tea concept, “Little J.J.’s Whimsical Garden,” interpreted with delicate pastel shades that evoke the wonder of dreamland garden. Inspired by Little J.J. — the hotel’s beloved teddy bear named after John Jacob Astor IV, the founder of The St. Regis Hotels — this new afternoon tea promises an enchanting experience for guests from June 1 to July 31, 2024

“Little J.J.’s Whimsical Garden” is full of delightful pastel plants and brought to life with exquisite savory and sweet treats designed in a spectrum of gentle hues. This creative afternoon tea has been developed by the hotel’s new Executive Pastry Chef, Nuntida Panyabaramee, complemented by savory creations from Chef de Cuisine, Pongsakorn Boonruang.

The colorful savory items in “Little J.J.’s Whimsical Garden” Afternoon Tea showcase delicately crafted garden-inspired treats, including the light Beetroot Plant Pot (beetroot tartlet, beetroot hummus, tzatziki, feta cheese, and cucumber caviar) and Charcoal Pea Pot (charcoal waffle, Parmesan mascarpone, peas, pea puree, and pea shoots). Offering a delightful burst of flavor is the Citrus Choux Crab, which brings a tangy twist with orange zest choux, kani miso cream, blue crab salad, and ikura, and a wellness-focused Blueberry Acai Gazpacho (rice lavosh lavender and spiced yogurt). Captivating with a soothing palette of pink, purple, and blue, the Rainbow Salmon Roll combines rainbow toast with cream cheese, smoked salmon, and a hint of yuzu gel.

The afternoon tea’s whimsical sweet offerings capture the floral essence of Little J.J.’s cherished blooms, including the Jasmine Green Tea Macaron. The assortment of desserts that celebrates the playfulness of his ethereal garden also includes the Lavender Earl Grey Praline, which “grows” in front of the guests’ eyes, and the Elderflower Apple Tart, made with elderflower-compressed apples. The Swan Berry Rose Mousse is a nod to the graceful creatures that glide across the garden’s lake, while the Orange Blossom Crème Brûlée delights with its fragrant citrus notes, offering a refreshing twist on this classic dessert. Completing this latest afternoon tea experience is the Mango Scone, a rich Butter scone with dehydrated Thai mango, served with Chantilly and cream cheese.

“Little J.J.’s Whimsical Garden” Afternoon Tea is available from June 1 to July 31, 2024 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM, at The St. Regis Bar on the 12^th floor for THB 2,500++ per set, including tea or coffee for two persons.
