Vietjet’s Sky Career Festival Attracts Thousands in 2024

Vietjet - logoIn an unprecedented display of career opportunities, Vietjet Thailand hosted its largest job event in eight years, the ‘Sky Career Festival 2024’, at Paragon Cineplex in Siam Paragon. The festival provided thousands of attendees with a glimpse into diverse career paths within the aviation industry and marked the launch of the airline’s Major Cadet Pilot Training Program.

The event was graced by Mr Wannarat Srisuksai, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, who delivered a compelling opening speech. “This event brings together opportunities and visions within the aviation sector alongside Vietjet Thailand. I am pleased to support initiatives that cultivate young talent and enhance tourism through air travel. Over 10,000 attendees thronged the venue, exploring a myriad of aviation career opportunities. Roles on offer ranged from pilots and cabin crew to engineers, safety and security personnel, and commercial staff. The event featured engaging activities, including panel discussions with industry professionals, interactive games with exclusive prizes, and lively performances, ensuring an enriching experience for all participants.

Reflecting on the event’s significance, Mr. Woranate Laprabang, Chief Executive Officer of Vietjet Thailand, said, “This is our largest job event over the last eight years, reflecting our commitment to further growth and innovation. One of the event’s key highlights was the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between Vietjet Thailand, Bangkok Aviation Center Public Company Ltd (BAC), and RMIT University’s Aviation Academy in Victoria, Australia. This collaboration marks the beginning of the Major Cadet Pilot Training Program, designed to nurture the next generation of skilled pilots through comprehensive training and development opportunities. Attendees at the festival had the exclusive opportunity to learn more about this program and how it can help them achieve their aviation dreams.
