As a number of positive feedback last year, Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse invites Bangkok foodies to indulge their sweet tooth with a Japanese High Tea Promotion from 23-29 June 2019. The Japanese high tea is available daily from 12.00 hrs – 18.00 hrs at The Lobby Lounge, a cozy and relaxing lounge rated 5 stars and ranked top 5 on TripAdvisor. Choose from an extensive selection of Japanese-style pastries and join a workshop by Chef Ibuki Matsumoto who is currently based at the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel.
The chef will prepare Japanese-style cake and other pastries from noon to 6 pm, offering at a special price for THB 750++ per set for 2 persons. The menu such as Tropical Moose, Mont Blanc, Arroz con leche, Pistachio creme brulée, Cream d’Anjou and mixed berry parfait. The sweet treats will also be available for takeaway.  Moreover, an exclusive cooking class with Chef Matsumoto followed by Japanese High Tea will be available on Sunday 23rd, Friday 28th and Saturday 29th June from 14.00 hrs – 17.00 hrs at THB 988++ per person.

The talented Chef Ibuki Matsumoto started out his career as a chef at the Tokyo Hilton Hotel and has been working with a number of international hotels, including The Century Hyatt, Disney Ambassador Hotel and Ginza Lakrin Hotel. He currently joins the devoted culinary team at the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel. Chef Ibuki boasts of an array of awards in recognition of his cooking. One of the most prestigious awards is the gold medal at Higachi Nihon Yogashi (East Japan Pastry Award). The use of innovative ingredients in his pastries has always kept his work exciting.
