Heritage Group Promotes US-Sourced Nuts at the “Heritage Afternoon Tea Party in the USA” as part of Thailand’s Favorite Healthy Food in 2020

Heritage Group, a leading premium natural food producer, wholesaler and exporter of nuts, dried fruits, mineral water and juices in Thailand is celebrating Thailand’s love of healthy food and rich product from the USA at its unique WholeGrown Café, with an afternoon tea “Heritage Afternoon Tea Party in the USA” at Bangkok’s IconSiam. The event reveals why US-sourced Heritage nuts and dried fruits have become part of Thai cultural cuisine and favorite ingredients for healthy food because of their quality as premier ingredients, with manufacturing and distribution of products in Thailand by the Heritage under international standard quality. Consumer tips on how to select the best product will also be shared to promote almonds, pistachios, walnuts and pecans, as well as raisins, cranberries and prunes. Masterchef Thailand Season 3 participant, Chef Toey – Patcha Kalyanamitr, is serving up a cookery demonstration, creating two special menus including “USA Joy Magic Pie” and “California Gold Bars*”.

Vice President of Heritage Group, Vittavat Phonphaisan reveals on what is special about the USA produce the company uses and how the Heritage seal of excellence is added to these ingredients. “At Heritage, our nuts and dried fruits come from reliable growers in the USA, such as Blue Diamond, a cooperative that provides us with almonds to manufacture our ready-to-eat nuts as well as our thirst-quenching Almond Breeze, almond milk line. On our part, we use a special packaging technology so we do not add any artificial preservative or artificial colorings to ensure our products are most natural, fresh and delicious.”

The Thai market is nuts for nuts, following a global trend for healthy product that is linked with lowering ‘bad’ cholesterol, providing omega-3 fatty acids, and potentially protecting the heart too; causing nut crops across the USA to rise significantly in recent years.
Almonds are the best snack because they are rich in protein, monounsaturated fats, vitamins such as Vitamin E and minerals, including magnesium and potassium. The US state of California is renowned as the leader in producing the most succulent almonds in the world. The unique taste of potassium-loaded pistachio nut seeds also includes a healthy dose of antioxidants, fighting free-radicals, with reports suggesting they may benefit blood pressure and promote a healthy heart too. Walnuts are high in essential fatty acids and a good source of protein. They are also packed with anti-oxidizing flavonoids which are believed to play a role in protecting the brain, as well as reducing the risk of serious diseases, meanwhile, phenolic acid contains anti-inflammatory potential.

With consumer-consciousness about where ingredients are sourced from rising, Heritage is at the heart of a growing interest in plant-based, healthy-food choices in Thailand, including the grab-and-eat market.
