AirAsia Launches Bangkok-Hat Yai Route: Special Deals

Starting July 2024, AirAsia will reintroduce direct flights from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to Hat Yai, marking a significant expansion of its services within Thailand. This addition complements the airline’s frequent departures from Don Mueang Airport, providing more options for travellers to reach the vibrant southern city known for its commerce and tourism.

Ms Tansita Akraritpirom, Head of Commercial for Thai AirAsia, announced the opening of bookings for this route, which features promotional fares starting at just 1,000 THB per trip. This special offer is available for bookings made through AirAsia MOVE from April 17, 2024, to May 17, 2024, for travel starting on July 1, 2024.

Hat Yai, a city that thrives all year round, has been a popular destination among tourists and business travellers. AirAsia’s Don Mueang-Hat Yai route has consistently maintained a high load factor, averaging 95% in passenger volume throughout 2023. The decision to operate flights from Bangkok’s major airports to Hat Yai underscores AirAsia’s commitment to providing convenient travel options and maintaining regional solid connectivity.

“We are thankful to the people of Songkla’s Hat Yai and surrounding areas, as well as the many travellers who have supported our route to Hat Yai over the years,” Ms Tansita stated. “It is with great pleasure that we resume operations from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Hat Yai, offering our passengers the flexibility to choose from two departure points in Bangkok.”

AirAsia is renowned for its punctuality and operates the most extensive network of routes in Thailand’s southern region. The airline currently offers 17 domestic routes, totalling up to 391 flights a week, ensuring that it remains one of the top choices for travel within the country.

Travellers should note that promotional fares are limited and subject to availability, especially during peak travel periods. Additional charges for auxiliary services and other fees apply per the airline’s terms and conditions.
