Anantara Siam Bangkok’s Charity Dinner: Celebrating Diversity

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel together with NA Project Group and Asylum Access Thailand-(AAT) are proud to present a special charity dinner at Biscotti restaurant on 14 December 2023, featuring authentic dishes cooked by refugee families from six different countries. The event aims to raise funds and awareness for the urban refugees in Bangkok, who are assisted by NA Project, a charity that advocates for refugees’ rights and integration in Thailand.

The charity dinner will feature a variety of appetisers, starters, main courses and desserts, each course paired with fine wines. Guests will have the opportunity to taste traditional, family-style dishes from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Somalia, Vietnam and Ethiopia.

After an opening set of delectable appetisers, including hummus with pita bread, dolma, Vietnamese noodle salad and fresh spring rolls, guests will be served sharing-style Afghani lamb mantu with yoghurt dressing, chicken samosa with mint chutney from Pakistan, and Sri Lankan spicy fried rolls. Family-style main courses will include Somalian lamb liver and onion stew, Sri Lankan chicken curry, and traditional Ethiopian dish of chicken and quail eggs with Berber spices served with thin pancakes. Accompanying them are spicy prawn curry, eggplant masala and steamed coconut rice.

For dessert, hosting families will present gulab jamun, soft dough soaked in rose syrup; thin-layered baklava pastry with pistachios; coconut-flavoured mothagam dumpling; and pistachio ice cream, all served with aromatic cardamom chai.

The Refugee Dinner will take place at Biscotti restaurant at Anantara Siam Bangkok on       14 December 2023 from 7.00 pm onwards. The price is THB 3,800++ per person with wine pairing. Seating is limited. To secure your spot, please call Tel.0-2126-8866
