AXA, Anantara & Oceans For All: Water Restoration Alliance

AXA Thailand General Insurance has embarked on a journey with the Oceans For All Foundation to protect water ecosystems, with a special emphasis on the Chao Phraya River.

In this collaborative effort, AXA Thailand General Insurance is sponsoring the operation of an innovative catamaran crafted with 100% recyclable materials, specially designed for efficient waste collection in both river and ocean environments. This project reflects AXA’s unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability.

Claude Seigne, CEO of AXA Thailand General Insurance, highlights the synergy of this partnership: “Teaming up with the Oceans for All Foundation is a concrete expression of Protecting what Matters. Every day, this boat will clean the klongs (canals) of Bangkok and improve the overall health of our waterways. This initiative not only enhances the natural beauty and biodiversity of the area but also positively impacts the lives of local communities who depend on these waterways for their livelihood. By actively removing waste and pollutants, we’re contributing to a cleaner, healthier environment, and reinforcing our commitment to sustainable development.”

Thibault Salaun, Co-founder of the Oceans For All Foundation, shares his enthusiasm about the joint effort: “We’re excited to collaborate with AXA on this critical project. Thanks to AXA’s backing in sponsoring the operation of an innovative catamaran crafted with 100% recyclable materials, a crucial move towards revitalizing the Chao Phraya River’s ecosystem. This cooperative effort, supported by government entities and the Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, is fundamental in our quest to preserve marine biodiversity.”

Michael Robinson, General Manager of Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, also underscores their contribution: “In line with Anantara Hotels and Resorts’ dedication to sustainability and social responsibility, we are eager to support this project by offering docking facilities for this boat playing an instrumental role in the ongoing preservation of the Chao Phraya river.”

This partnership between AXA Thailand General Insurance and the Oceans For All Foundation backed by government and Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort represents a unified commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable development. It is more than a project, it is a movement towards fostering a healthier and more sustainable environment.
