Bangkok Aviation Center Signs MOU for Graduates to Continue on to Thai AirAsia

Gp. Capt. Suraphan Patumwat, Director of Flight Operations for Thai AirAsia,Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO of Thai AirAsia, Wg. Cdr. Piya Tregalnon, Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Aviation Center Public Company Limited (BAC), Wg. Cdr. Phat Winmoon, Chief Operations Officer for BAC and Mr. Tanai Porasupattana, Chief Commercial Officer for BAC signed the Memorandum of Understanding ā€œForwarding Piloting Students for Selection as Commercial Pilots at Thai AirAsiaā€. The agreement will see BAC forwarding the names of qualified students who have completed piloting training in accordance with the regulations of the Thai Civil Aviation Authority and received their commercial piloting license to Thai AirAsia for consideration of employment.

Thai AirAsia and BAC have long shared the goal of moving Thailandā€™s aviation industry forward by producing knowledgeable and skilled pilots and have moved towards this goal in a variety of ways. Thai AirAsia has directly accepted piloting students and enrolled them for full training at BAC while the flight school has created courses in accordance with the needs of the market. Thai AirAsia currently employs a total 683 pilots and co-pilots and maintains a target of receiving 50-60 additional pilots each year in support of its fleet of Airbus A320 and A320 NEO airplanes, which grows by 4-5 planes annually.
