Bangkok’s Koi Restaurant & Club celebrate in style

Koi restaurant, lounge and the Club @ Koi celebrated a successful year of business in their high-rise home in Sathorn Square Building with a celebratory anniversary reception attended by Ambassadors, dignitaries, VIPs and media followed by an outstanding fashion show showcasing the latest collection “Single and available” by Munchu’s and a live performance by Way Thaitanium.

The catwalk fashion theme was ‘neon summer’ to herald in the new season. To set the party mood guests were asked to ‘Dress to Impress’.<Ambassadors, dignitaries and A listers were hosted from 7pm in the restaurant with Koi signature bites such as the world famous Koi Geleno roll, the miso bronzed black cod and white shrimp tempura, served with summery peach Bellini cocktails.

Opening the show at 9.45pm, produced by Sara Kondal, were dancers choreographed by Ida Victoria Nowakowska, with a performance by a  chalice dancer in a huge champagne saucer set against a backdrop of magenta blooms in a magical garden.

Following the opening a hush descended before Munchu’s first model filed down the catwalk in a collection entitled “Single and Available”. 21 stunning models swaying between brutal femininity and angular androgynous ambiguity, sexy, daring and empowered.

Above Bangkok’s skyline, this exclusive 1st anniversary event took place on the 39th Floor of Sathorn Square Building to celebrate one year of Koi in its new Bangkok home.

Celebrity models walking in the fashion show included
Natt Potter (Miss Thailand Universe and movie Actress); Grace Winer, The face Thailand season 2; Jan Baiboon; Minnie; Pim Bubear; Natalie Ducheins. A thunderous applause ensued from an enthusiastic and wildly appreciative audience. Roll on Summer.

In the USA, Koi’s ground-breaking California-Japanese style cuisine and its emphasis on design, intimacy and style have made it a regular for the nation’s glitterati from George Clooney to Madonna. In the same vein Koi Bangkok has already become a go to venue for food, fashion and nightlife.
