Beringer Wine Dinner at Up & Above Restaurant

Up & Above Restaurant at The Okura Prestige Bangkok is delighted to be hosting an epicurean evening sure to please lovers of great food and wine. Our talented chefs will prepare a six-course dinner featuring international dishes created with Japanese twists paired with the wonderful wines of Beringer, California’s oldest continually operating winery. Founded in the early 1870s in the state’s fertile Napa Valley, Beringer is a venerated producer and the first and only winery to have both a red and a white wine named Wine of the Year by Wine Spectator Magazine.

The dinner begins with canapés featuring Iberico ham, gravlax salmon and crab served with chilled Beringer Main & Vine White Zinfandel Rose 2016. Next Icelandic langoustine and Japanese oyster complement a 2016 Beringer Founders’ Estate Chardonnay. The second course, Hamachi, Japanese amberjack paired with 2017 Beringer Napa Valley Chardonnay. The third course of guinea fowl is accompanied by a 2015 Beringer Founders’ Estate Merlot and the fourth, Kagoshima beef, with a 2015 Beringer Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The highlight main course sees tender Iberico lamb and matsutake enjoyed with a robust 2014 Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The wonderful meal is rounded off with a surprise by Executive Pastry Chef Sebastiaan, and freshly brewed illy coffee or Mariage Frères tea.

The Beringer Wine Dinner takes place on 4 July 2019 from 6:30 p.m. at Up & Above Restaurant. Priced at Baht 3,900++ per person. Early Bird bookings made by 28 June 2019 at special price offer of Baht 3,500++ per person.
