Celebrate Songkran at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel with City-Centre Stays and Exclusive Dining Events that Preserve the Spirit of Tradition

Featuring a family-style set menu of regional favourites, an intimate Songkran Dinner at Spice Market invites guests to gather over summer delicacies and seasonal treats such as fiery Tom Yum Goong with prawn served in a coconut shell; chilled Khao Chae, a delicious six-dish set made with steamed rice soaked in ice-cold jasmine-scented water; herbs-marinated roasted sea bass; and grilled pork neck. Guests will also be able to sample classic Thai desserts, including mango sticky rice with coconut cream, pandan flour dumplings with plum coconut milk, and red rice compote with plum sugar. Available from 13 to 16 April, the special experience is priced at THB 890++ per person.

Should guest choose to celebrate Thai water festival on a grander scale, ‘Thai Delights’ Songkran Brunch takes place on Wednesday, 13 April featuring signature dishes from several restaurants as well as regional specialties such as Ya-Dong, a traditional rice spirit made with honey and herbs; a sharing tray of delicately-flavoured Khao Chae; lobster thermidor; roasted meats and other brunch classics. A New Orleans Jazz band and a gift of a floral hand garland upon arrival will set a festive tone. Brunch packages range from THB 2,500++ per person including free-flow non-alcoholic beverages to THB 4,500++ with wine, cocktails and Moët & Chandon Champagne. For children aged 5-11 the price is THB 1,250++; while children under five eat for free.

Out of town holidaymakers and Bangkok residents in search of urban staycation ideas can book the ‘Songkran Spirit Thai New Year Celebration’ Package and stay in a terrace room with adjoining gardens where they can sit out on a private patio. Starting with THB 4,000 in a Deluxe Room based on double occupancy, the package includes a one-night stay with buffet breakfast, THB 2,000 hotel credit (per night, per room) for dining at hotel restaurants, a traditional Thai welcome, alms-offering ceremony with Buddhist monks, and exclusive Kasara Executive Lounge benefits for Kasara Club room and suite bookings. The package can be booked until 17 April 2022 for stays between 13 – 17 April 2022.
