CHAR Rooftop Bar at Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road is thrilled to be joining other bars and restaurants around the world celebrating Negroni Week. From 24 to 30 June 2019, CHAR will be donating proceeds from specialty Negroni cocktails to Project C.U.R.E., which collects and distributes medical supplies to communities in need around the world.
Established in 2013, Negroni Week is organised by Imbibe Magazine and Campari. As the origins of this simple yet refreshing cocktail is believed to have occurred in 1919, this year marks the centennial of the Negroni. Traditionally comprised of gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari, Negroni Week allows mixologists to show off their versatility while raising money for special causes of their choice. To date, Negroni Week has raised over USD 2 million for organisations worldwide.
CHAR’s charitable cause is Project C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment). From its humble beginnings of one doctor wanting to help one clinic in Brazil, this NGO collects, sorts, and distributes medical supplies globally according to the needs they identify. Of the millions of dollars and container loads of supplies, Thailand has received almost a million dollars and three containers’ worth of supplies. CHAR believes that everyone deserves prompt medical care and will donate all profits from the special Negroni cocktails created by the head bartender to Project C.U.R.E.
CHAR invites Negroni lovers, and those who have never enjoyed the refreshing sweetness of a Negroni, to select from a cocktail menu at THB 300++ while supporting a tremendously good cause, from 24 to 30 June 2019.
