Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok’s annual Christmas lighting ritual Concertini continues to be a traditional and highly popular start to the festive season in the ‘city of angels’, creating magical moments and impressive spectacles that capture the essence of the Christmas spirit with a wonderful selection of culinary and entertainment experiences.
Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has, since its inception some ten years ago, strived to bring authentic European traditions to the capital of Thailand. This year, on 1 December 2020, building upon last year’s popular and successful programme, Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok presented the ‘Lady in Red’ lighting ceremony, which was followed by the official Christmas tree lighting ritual, conducted by the hotel’s Managing Director Richard Schestak and the iconic Ladies in Red.
The festive entertainment programme continued with a Christmas Concertini performance by ten talented young singers from the Kawai Piano Institute. There were excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s ‘The Nutcracker’ by Bangkok City Ballet, and a visit from Santa Claus in the grand setting of the hotel lobby, with a stunning 7-metre-tall Christmas tree as a very appropriate seasonal backdrop.
