CT Partners celebrates in Bangkok

CT Partners this week celebrated another year of strong growth, success and independence with its annual business meeting at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok.Over 75 owners and key senior supplier management attended the event with a theme focusing on ‘working together to create exceptional success.’

CT Partners Interim Chairman Barry Mayo welcomed 2 new CT Partners members to the Board this year, Fiona Prosser of Globetrotter in Perth, and David Greenland, of Concierge Travel Group, Sydney.

“CT Partners is the largest and most influential independent travel buying network in Australia and our unique, transparent and truly collaborative model makes us well positioned to adapt and thrive as the industry continues to evolve,” said Barry Mayo.

“With our annual revenue now at $1.5 billion and climbing, this is another year for us to celebrate together with our supplier partners. Our members are exceptional and the power, ideas and strategy that result from bringing everyone together is a significant advantage.”

Key note speaker, founder of the Hands Group, Peter Baines OAM, gave an impassioned and action-provoking address on leadership in times of change before escorting the delegates on a visit to one of Hands orphanages located in the Klong Toei slum area of Bangkok. CT Partners members and supplier partners worked together to demolish 2 dwellings in preparation for rebuilding, while others sewed soft toys for 100 delighted children.

Ingo Puhl, Co-founder of South Pole, the world’s largest developer of climate action projects, moderated The Great Debate, with teams debating the value to businesses of supporting sustainable, or ‘green’ practices such as carbo offsetting, a very relevant topic which sparked ongoing debate for the remainder of the event. CT Partners is working closely with south pole to offer carbon offsetting to customers.

Ian Edwards, General Manager, commented “Each year we bring together our key supplier partners with our members in our three-day conference to focus on celebrating our shared achievements and map our next steps. It’s always a great opportunity to spend time together in the wonderful setting of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.”
