Emirates lets you explore Africa for less with unmatched deals across its African network

Emirates offers a gateway to the wonders of Africa, with a selection of special fares across its extensive African network.

Emirates customers who book tickets from today until June 16, 2019 can enjoy all the wonders and excitement that Africa has to offer starting from just 23,220 baht for Economy Class, and 65,585 baht for Business Class. Fares are valid for outbound travel until 31 December 2019.

Currently, Emirates offers connecting flights from Dubai to over 23 cities in 20 countries across Africa – including popular routes such as Johannesburg, Cape Town, Casablanca, Cairo, Dar Es Salaam, Entebbe, Addis Ababa and Lagos. Passengers can select from an array of destinations and flight times to best suit their travel needs, whether travelling for business or leisure.

Starting June 2019, Emirates will also deploy additional flights to several markets in Africa. Flights include a second daily flight to Casablanca, Morocco for summer months and three additional flights to Abuja, Nigeria, increasing the frequency to a daily service. There is also the addition of a new linked flight every week that will connect travellers from Conakry, Guinea and Dakar, Senegal on Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.   Emirates has an extensive global network of over 157 destinations across six continents, in 85 countries and territories.

Travelers from Thailand can conveniently connect from Thailand to global destinations including 23 cities in Africa via Emirates’ hub in Dubai. Dubai is a cosmopolitan city that has attractions suited for all types of travelers making it an ideal stopover destination. Moreover, Emirates passengers flying to and through Dubai from now to 31 August 2019 can take also advantage of My Emirates Pass by simply presenting their boarding pass and a valid form of identification in any of the participating outlets. The exclusive pass allows customers to redeem up to 50% off in over 400 fine dining restaurants, luxury wellness treatments in almost 50 spas and leisure activities such as indoor skiing and water amusement parks. Customers can also take advantage and redeem up to 30% off at international retail outlets including popular fashion and fitness brands.

Across First Class, Business Class and Economy Class, Emirates passengers can sit back, relax and enjoy Emirates’ award-winning inflight system, ice, featuring up to 4,000 channels of                        on-demand movies, games and entertainment while enjoying sumptuous meals and complimentary beverage offerings. Passengers can also browse through social media and keep up-to-date with the latest happenings via the aircraft’s pre-loaded 20MB of free Wi-Fi data. They can also enjoy the comforts and amenities that Emirates is renowned for, allowing passengers to experience a better way to fly. The airline also offers generous baggage allowance, with up to 30kg for Economy Class and 40kg for Business Class.

Emirates’ direct flights to Phnom Penh

Emirates announces that it has launched its daily service connecting the Thai capital Bangkok with the Cambodian city of Phnom Penh. The new service conveniently links passengers between the two cities and provides more choice for travellers to travel to and from Dubai.  The daily service between Dubai and Phnom Penh, via Bangkok, also complements Emirates’ five direct daily services between Dubai and Bangkok in addition to daily service between Phuket and Dubai, using a mix of B777 and A380 aircraft.

On 1 June 2019, EK370 departed Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 0845hrs local time and arrived in Bangkok at 1815hrs. It departed after 1 hour 45 minutes and arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport at 2125hrs local time. Flight EK371 departed Phnom Penh at 2320hrs, and arrived in Bangkok at 0040hrs, the following day. After a short layover, it departed at 0225hrs, arriving in Dubai at 0535hrs local time.

The new service which is operated by a Boeing 777 aircraft in a three-class configuration allows tourists and citizens to travel between Thailand and Cambodia in under 1 hour 30 minutes and connect to Emirates’ vast global network of more than 155 destinations in 85 countries and territories. Family, friends, leisure and business travellers can also take advantage of the airline’s regional codeshare partnerships with Bangkok Airways, Jetstar Asia and Jetstar Pacific, providing enhanced connectivity and the ability to build travel itineraries that include other domestic destinations in Cambodia, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries.
