The question ‘how are you?’ has never been more relevant as everyone manages this pandemic to the best of his or her ability. Our thoughts continue to be with those who are going through very tough times.
We applaud those who have reached out and helped fellow industry colleagues who are in need. We echo global sentiments that our focus must be placed on people – especially their physical and mental wellbeing.
To us, everyone matters. The Thai business events industry is grateful to have received words of encouragement since the virus outbreak.
We are attuned to the advice from global event industry associations and have since been working in tandem with our local industry associations and private sectors to implement support-in-action. COVID-19 is not the first crisis Thailand has faced in the past decade. We therefore do not take our resilience for granted.
Instead, we use what we previously learned to bring resolutions. The Thai business events community remains focused on customer safety and wellbeing. Since early February 2020, our community remained adaptable and agile – always ready to implement immediate changes as the situation evolves.
One of Thailand’s strengths is technological implementation. Our sense of creativity and craving for engagement expedited the rapid move to digital platforms and communication channels.
This empowered our momentum in staying connected with our industry as we work collaboratively to spearhead our journey to recovery. As a government agency, TCEB focuses on easing up support criteria and invigorating our readiness to implement actionable outcomes as soon as the world is ready to visit Thailand again.
In the meantime, we share the world’s focus on redefining the future of work and the talent needed to support new business models.
The first positive step to recovery is upskilling. Most importantly, we must remember that we are in the business of people and it is time to first focus on people, with compassion and sincerity.
