Find Your Best Quality with Glenfiddich’s Where Next Club!

Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky returns with its fourth edition of “THE WHERE NEXT CLUB” in Thailand. This special brand campaign from Glenfiddich that is localized all over the world aims to unite individuals with captivating tales, encouraging them to share their unique experiences and qualities, igniting a chain reaction of inspiration, guiding us towards a limitless array of new NEXTs.

As part of the search for your “Single Best Quality”, Glenfiddich’s “The Where Next Club” has enlisted mavericks with innovative ideas, who create new things from qualities within themselves that derives from determination, authenticity, interests, recognizing the value of things around them, and much more. This year, the club has brought together three Thai mavericks who have previously joined in the search and shared experiences with The Where Next Club in the past years. These mavericks include Burin Boonvisut, Winchana Prucksananont and Chatchawarn Janthachotibutr, who will be sharing “The Progressive Next”, where each has stepped into another level of success in life under the concept of ‘Collaborate to innovate our NEXT’. This concept stems from the idea that sometimes creating the NEXT can happen through the exchange and sharing of what we perceive as our “Single Best Quality” and combining that with the possibilities of collective creative ideas. This has led to the creation of the ‘Socialsphere Showcase’ or a Speakeasy Bar setup on an island in a private atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle, creating quality conversations and inspiring each other alongside top-tier beverages to pave way for what is NEXT in the journey.

The ‘Socialsphere Showcase’ is a space for exchanging inspiration in a tranquil and exceptionally private atmosphere. Created through the collaboration of three Mavericks from Thailand, this special showcase is a simulated Speakeasy Bar on an island, offering a private ambiance, surrounded by quietude, free from chaos, and filled with creative minds who are true to themselves and are ready to join hands in crafting something new while immersing themselves in a valuable time together. This collaboration from the three mavericks, representing diverse industries, has resulted in a remarkable creation by blending each person’s “Single Best Quality.”

 Igniting inspiration through music

Starting the journey with Burin Boonvisut, a prominent figure and seasoned veteran in the music industry and business sector. Burin has played various roles in his life, whether as a singer and musician in the Groove Riders band or as an executive in companies like Metro Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., Metro Autohaus Co., Ltd., and Mitsu Metro Co., Ltd. One intriguing aspect is his interest in jazz music, leading to the creation of three exceptional songs. These songs, along with sound wave designs transformed into visuals and patterns, seamlessly integrate into the ‘Socialsphere Showcase.’ Burin emphasizes, “I believe in the power of sound waves. It’s not just about music; it’s about designing emotions. This work will help us see the emotions hidden within with more clarity.”

Becoming one with nature

Continuing the journey with Winchana Prucksananont, the second-generation heir of Koh Munnork Private Island and Co-founder of Sunne Voyage, a boat tour business born from recognizing the value of Thai boat craftsmenship and the idea of promoting community growth through heartfelt business practices. By staying close to nature and engaging with neighboring communities, Winchana shares“The natural path ignites the concept of this project for me. Sometimes, venturing out to live life and encountering new inspirations is something many may overlook.” Consequently, Winchana has contributed to designing furniture inspired by materials from the island, fostering a sense of privacy for conversations in the Speakeasy Bar on the island.

A new world through the lens of photography

Last but not least, with the curtain of photographs by Chatchawarn Janthachotibutr, who excels in many things, including his roles as Leica Thailand Ambassador, owner of The Tangerine café in Phuket and The Place in Khao Lak, as well as an avid advocate for Khao Lak’s ever-growing surf community. Driven by his passion for photography, Chatchawarn’s contribution to the ‘Socialsphere Showcase’ is to establish privacy, by dividing the conversation space with photo curtains that steer us away from chaos. Chatchawarn shares the inspiration behind this work, stating, “It might not just be about the photographs, but rather a space where you can have quality conversations together, through stories and various emotions conveyed in the moments captured.”

Moreover, on this special night, Jyri Pylkkanen, new Regional Single Malts Ambassador for Southeast Asia, who shared more on the brand introduction and history, as well as his journey with Glenfiddich and THE WHERE NEXT CLUB.  Jyri expressed that “I’m thrilled to be here with you all today, sharing the maverick spirit and way of life with our friends in Thailand, along with our incredible mavericks; and I believe that having Glenfiddich as a companion on the journey of finding your NEXT will be a good start for anyone.”

In addition to the ‘Socialsphere Showcase’, the three Mavericks also collaborated with Glenfiddich and Lloyd’s Club to craft special cocktail creations for the historic night. Winchana created the The Deconstruction featuring Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old, green tea leaves, marigold flowers, salt water, lemon juice and soda for a refreshing beachside drink. Followed by Chatchawarn’s drink, named “The Vision“, that has a bittersweet taste with a blend of Glenfiddich 15-Year-Old, Italian herbal liqueur, sweet cherry liqueur, spiced medicinal liqueur and lemon juice. Finally, Burin’s “The Vibration” wraps up the night with Glenfiddich 18-Year-Old, cherry wine, rose petals, fernet and saffron giving it the subtly deep flavor that is synonymous with the Glenfiddich whisky.

The scent of intimacy, yet welcoming novelty, characterizes the event held within Lloyd’s Club, the Old Money-style Party Clubhouse. Located at The Metropole Bangkok Sukhumvit 55, Lloyd’s Club is a semi-membership clubhouse that also opens its doors to non-members, while offering exclusive members-only areas for enhanced privacy.
