This Loy Krathong, revellers who want to be as close to the magnificent ten-minute firework display over the Chao Phraya as possible, will find an excellent vantage point at Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel perched high above the River of the Kings.
At the hotel’s signature restaurant Skyline on the 11th floor, between 6.00 pm and 10.00 pm guests will be treated to a mega ice bar overflowing with jumbo oysters, prawns, blue swimmer crabs and slipper lobsters. Loy Krathong buffet will also include premium sashimi, crab omelette, crispy soft-shell crab burgers, assorted salads, cold cuts, mains from live stations and delectable desserts all served against a backdrop of a pyrotechnic display bursting over the Chao Phraya. The price is THB 1,500++ per adult including free-flow soft drinks and THB 600++ per child between 5 and 11 years old.
The city’s most sophisticated rooftop venue SEEN Restaurant & Bar Bangkok, meanwhile, will complement the display of larger-than-life fireworks with “Sky Tunes” – a mini-concert by Violette Wautier, a Thai-Belgian pop singer. Starting from 7:00 pm, guests will be served a scrumptious four-course dinner high above the river to live DJ sets and saxophone solos. On the menu are feather-light beef carpaccio, lobster and crab salad, choice of lamb duo or Hokkaido scallop, and a magnificent matcha genoise. SEEN experience is priced at THB 4,900++ per person in the VIP zone and THB 4,000++ per person in the indoor zone.
