Designed by Philip Pond, the award-winning international architect and founder of hospitality specialist Atelier Pond, Mizumi is three chic destinations in one. On the 13th floor, diners can discover a contemporary restaurant, Teppanyaki Room and Omakase Bar. Rising to the 14th floor, guests will find the Sky Lounge and an alfresco event space, next to the sparkling swimming pool. Finally on the 15th floor, KUMO can host chic cocktail parties and private dinners, overlooking the city.
Mizumi’s main restaurant and terrace is an authentic izakaya that embodies the elegance of Japanese cuisine. With a focus on natural textures and rustic modernity, blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, diners can discover a mouth-watering menu of creative, handcrafted dishes. In harmony with its lake views, the design concept is based on the power and symbolism of water. Guests will be immersed in an elegant ambience, surrounded by exquisite Japanese “kintsugi” art and pottery.
Mizumi’s teppanyaki chef will delight diners with amazingly theatrical culinary performances.
For a dramatic dining experience, the Teppanyaki Room features two traditional tables, with seats for up to 16 people, who will be thrilled by the chef’s theatrical performances. Exclusive Japanese wagyu cabinets and a refined wine list will elevate every occasion. Alternatively, the casual Omakase Bar will allow guests to see highly-skilled sushi chefs expertly slice the freshest seafood, accompanied by a signature sake selection.
Mizumi Sky Lounge is set to become one of the city’s hottest new nightspots. Inspired by the Japanese concept of “karesansui”, also known as a “contemplation garden”, this chic alfresco space lets guests unwind in style by the pool as DJs spin upbeat tunes and mixologists blend cool drinks. Eight signature cocktails have been crafted especially for this venue, based on the “Seven Japanese Aesthetic Principles” that are designed to stimulate the senses and alter perceptions. This contemporary setting will also serve as a viewing platform, overlooking West Lake and the Hanoi skyline. For intimate occasions, the Sunken Lounge allows groups of between five and 10 revellers to chill out together in comfort.

The launch of Mizumi marks the culmination of Fraser Suites Hanoi’s dramatic recent transformation.
