Melting Clock is located on Sukhumvit Soi 61, a short walk from the Ekkamai BTS Skytrain stop. Parking space is available behind the restaurant. 
They are opened daily and the big clock on the front side of the restaurant gives credence to its name – Melting Clock.
The restaurant and wine bar has a rustic charm to it, with tables in various arrangements for two or long tables for larger groups. A bar counter plus ‘grammable sofas complete the casual vibe within Melting Clock. Private rooms are also a plus point.
We began our dinner with the familiar burrata salad, always our go-to choice for a sojourn to Italy. Simple ingredients, amazing taste and texture and this dish are guaranteed to deliver. Melting Clock has porchetta on their menu too! Theirs is a Roman take on this classic Italian pork roast recipe.
For the pasta selection, the chef recommended three different recipes. The gnocchi in pesto sauce was a great opening and full of flavour. The rigatoni dish was a nod to the southern region of Italy – cooked with very well minced sausages bursting with fiery flavours. We will return for this dish for sure. The third pasta dish we tried centred on tomatoes and bite-sized sausages – very artisanal and al-dente.
We enjoyed the main fish dish (sea bass) and the Italian sausage with potatoes paired perfectly with their selection of Italian beers. The wine prices are very affordable here – a distinct selling point indeed with over 300 wine labels, alongside their ‘grammable sofas and deco.
