Wines of “Khao Yai Wine” Geographical Indication are made according to the GI’s established and globally-accepted winemaking standards and entail the grapes to be Vitis vinifera grown exclusively in the Khao Yai region.
GranMonte’s international award-winning wines are made from 100% estate-grown wine grapes by oenologist Nikki Lohitnavy, the daughter of the estate owners; Sakuna & Visooth Lohitnavy. GranMonte Vineyard and Winery were awarded “Best National Producer – Thailand” in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019 by Europe’s most significant international wine competition, AWC Vienna.
GranMonte Vineyard and Winery is Thailand’s leading family-run and owned wine producer. GranMonte successfully registered “Khao Yai Wine” as a Geographical Indication in 2018. GranMonte planted its first roots in 1999 on the 40-acre plot of land, once a cashew orchard.
The family-owned vineyard is located in the Northeast of Thailand, Khao Yai and situated in the foothills of the UNESCO World Heritage Khao Yai National Park.

Vineyard
The leading estate lies in a valley 350 m above sea level and has a wine grape planting area of 100 rai (40 acres). An additional 200 rai (80 acres) of GranMonte’s planting areas are throughout the Khao Yai region. Only the grapes grown and harvested by GranMonte are used to make wines of authentic Khao Yai origin.
GranMonte Vineyard and Winery is a part of the “Khao Yai Wine” Geographical Indication.
Current varieties are Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Durif, Grenache, Chenin Blanc, Verdelho, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Alternative varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Barbera, Marsanne and Roussanne. GranMonte Vineyard and Winery also received the Thailand Tourism Award in 2021.
Winery
Asoke Valley Winery is GranMonte’s winery, which began its operation in late January 2009 and operated hand-in-hand with GranMonte’s vineyard property. The winery has a maximum capacity of producing 300,000 bottles of wine annually. This state-of-the-art winery uses imported wine-making equipment from France, Germany, Italy and Australia. Both the winery and vineyard operations are under the direction of Nikki Lohitnavy, the in-house oenologist and winemaker.
GranMonte Shop & Montino Café
GranMonte’s delicious and healthy offerings include GranMonte’s famous 100% fresh grape juice, seasonal fruit jams, homemade condiments and baked goods.

VinCotto Restaurant
Its exquisite homestyle Western dishes are adapted from the Lohitnavy family recipes and can easily be matched with GranMonte’s award-winning wines. VinCotto is GranMonte’s 200-seat family restaurant favoured by local and overseas guests. VinCotto restaurant caters to diverse groups of diners, from holidaying families to wine lovers.
VinCotto restaurant, located in GranMonte Vineyard, offers indoor and outdoor dining. Grand breakfast set is served from 7:30 – 10:00 hrs.

GranMonte Wine Cottage
The Seven-room accommodation offers stunning views of the vineyard and the valley’s tropical jungle. Each room has an en suite bathroom, minibar, television, air-conditioning and full amenities.
