Hilton’s KROMO Sparks Hotel Innovation in Thailand’s Sukhumvit District

Situated in Bangkok’s illustrious Sukhumvit shopping area, this venture marks a significant step for Hilton in Southeast Asia. It introduces a new level of luxury to the region’s vibrant tourism sector.

KROMO, Curio Collection by Hilton, is poised to open doors by the end of 2024. It joins Hilton’s substantial footprint in Thailand, which includes 13 existing properties and nine forthcoming projects under various Hilton brands. Hilton’s Senior Vice President for Development in Asia Pacific, Clarence Tan, expressed his enthusiasm about the project: “Thailand continues to be a magnet for global travellers with Bangkok reigning as the most visited city worldwide. Introducing Thailand’s first Curio Collection underscores our strategy to enhance our presence significantly across key markets through our diverse and dynamic brand portfolio.”

The hotel embodies the Curio Collection’s ethos of offering unique, memorable experiences. Each hotel under this banner offers a distinctive story, with KROMO inspired by the concept of ‘chroma,’ symbolizing intensity and colour. This design philosophy aims to immerse guests in a kaleidoscope of local culture and modern luxury, reflecting Thailand’s rich heritage and contemporary allure.

KROMO’s strategic location in Sukhumvit places it within arm’s reach of top shopping destinations like Emporium, EmQuartier, and the newly unveiled EmSphere, alongside proximity to essential transit links like the Bangkok Skytrain. This prime positioning is expected to attract leisure and business travellers seeking convenience and premium accommodations in the heart of Bangkok.

The property will feature 306 elegantly designed rooms and suites, emphasizing Thai cultural motifs with a modern twist. Alexandra Jaritz, Senior Vice President of Brand Management in Asia Pacific at Hilton, highlighted the unique appeal of the Curio Collection: “With KROMO, we are not just opening a hotel; we are creating a destination. Our guests can look forward to a series of thoughtfully crafted experiences that cater to their desire for discovery and exclusivity.”

In addition to luxury accommodations, KROMO will boast three world-class dining venues, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and indoor and outdoor pools. Introducing these facilities is expected to set a new standard in the region’s hospitality offerings.

As part of the Hilton Honors program, guests booking directly through Hilton will enjoy several benefits, including a flexible payment system combining points and money, exclusive discounts, complimentary Wi-Fi, and more, enhancing the overall guest experience.
