SKAL International India, the groundbreaking event organiser, reported this news.

The Congress, an innovative forum, invites industry professionals to engage in dialogue and discussions concerning critical issues in travel and tourism. As a melting pot of ideas and strategies, the event envisages and fosters the industry’s future growth while bridging the gap between the current resources and tomorrow’s sustainable travel solutions.

Ayappa Somaiah, the President of SKAL Bangalore, was brimming with enthusiasm during the event’s curtain raiser. “Bengaluru and Mysore hosting the SKAL India Congress will immensely enhance Karnataka’s reputation as a prominent heritage, wildlife, and culture destination in India,” he said. He also emphasized that the event will spotlight Karnataka Tourism’s premier offerings to delegates from around the globe.

Echoing his sentiments, BS Prashanth, the President of SKAL Mysore, expressed that the Congress is a significant opportunity for travel trade and SKAL Club Mysore. He said, “This offers us a chance to welcome Skalleagues and delegates from all across India during the festive period of Dasara, showcasing the royal city of Mysore at its absolute best.”

This landmark event is being supported and promoted by the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka. This initiative makes Karnataka the first state in India to host the prestigious event in two prime cities, thus setting a global example of unity and commitment towards the travel and tourism industry.

The Congress promises an immersive three-day journey filled with networking opportunities, business sessions, cultural experiences, and fellowship. The gala opening in Mysore is set against a rich cultural backdrop featuring India’s radiant heritage and traditions, culminating with delegates enjoying royal horsecart rides.

The second day promises a royal experience with the oath-taking ceremony of the Club Presidents of India alongside the National President of SKAL International India. The day will continue with a panel discussion of distinguished delegates addressing pressing topics in travel and tourism, followed by a guided tour of the ‘Unseen Mysore’.

The third day will shift the spotlight to Bengaluru, with delegates experiencing the seamless journey on the new Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway, a significant milestone in India’s surface transport facilities. This final day will witness the launch of B2B conventions and exhibitions, offering a platform for different state tourism bodies to exhibit their offerings.
