Summer Palace Serves Traditional Zongzi for Dragon Boat Fest

Zongzi sticky rice dumplings are being served at Summer Palace Cantonese restaurant during the Dragon Boat Festival, a Chinese tradition that dates back well over 2,000 years to the Warring States era.

The chefs are preparing the dumplings to an ancient Monk Jumps Over the Wall recipe, stuffing the glutinous rice with Australian abalone, dried scallop, Hong Kong dried shrimp, fish maw, salted egg yolk, pork belly, and shiitake and wild morel mushrooms. The delicious mix is wrapped in lotus leaf, boiled, and served hot to the table.

Available at Summer Palace from 1 June 2024 to 16 June 2024 from 11.30 to 14.30 hours and 18.00 to 22.30 hours, the Zongzi dumplings are priced at THB 988++ per piece. Summer Palace is located on the Mezzanine of InterContinental Bangkok.

Traditional Zongzi dumplings are available in a gift box at Butter for THB 1,200 net per box. Pre-orders are required 24 hours in advance from 20 May 2024. Pick up from 3 June 2024 to 16 June 2024, from 08.00 to 19.00 hours.
