Served at the newly revamped Jim Thompson, A Thai Restaurant, blending tradition with innovation, this refreshing delicacy is the perfect choice to satiate the taste buds and cool off with this exquisitely balanced medley of unique flavours and textures.

From Tuesday 19th March until Sunday 12th May, Jim Thompson is offering both a dine-in and takeaway experience. For those wishing to dine-in the exclusive set, served in the restaurant’s stylish surroundings in elegant brassware, presents jasmine-scented Khao Chae along with seven side dishes and a vegetable and fruit selection.

The new takeaway option introduced presents the ‘Khao Chae Jim Thompson’ set in limited-edition Jim Thompson’s Thai Tiffin Box (Pinto), featuring a handle adorned with Jim Thompson silk, along with a canvas bag. An on-pack QR code gives helpful set information and serving tips. The perfect Thai New Year gift for loved ones and friends to treasure. Whether dining-in or taking the experience to your home, the same famous recipes using premium and organic ingredients await you.

The ‘Khao Chae Jim Thompson’ uses organically sourced jasmine rice from Rai Thong Farm in Chiang Rai. Chilled in jasmine-scented water prior to cooking, it is then scented with candle smoke and jasmine flowers. This is accompanied by seven delicious side dishes, selected specifically from the royal court cuisine history.

Fried Shrimp Paste Balls use catfish and spices, including the aromatic finger root, pounded into a shrimp paste from Klong Khone, Samut Songkhram. Stuffed Shallots are filled with sweet onions and sundried snakehead fish, then fried for a crispy exterior. Caramelized Radish from Ratchaburi is stir-fried with garlic and sugar for a shiny, savory dish. Sweet Spotted Eagle Ray Sauté provides a sweet and salty taste from the ray fish sourced from Pranburi. Salted Fish Fritter combines salted mackerel and free-range chicken, dipped in egg and fried. Stuffed Red Chili is made with snakehead fish meat with sliced, dried chilis deep-fried to perfection. Stuffed Green Pepper features a mix of shrimp and chicken stuffed into a green pepper, wrapped in a delicate crispy shredded egg. As the perfect palette pleaser, Jim Thompsons signature Mango Sticky Rice is served as the finishing touch.

Khao Chae Jim Thompson will be exclusively available from Tuesday 19th March to Sunday 12th May 2024.
