Hyatt Regency Danang: New Sales Director Excitement

Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Ms. Heekyung Chung as its new Director of Sales & Marketing, to support the revitalization and relaunch of this five-star family lifestyle resort.

Originally hailing from Korea, Heekyung is a sales, marketing and revenue management specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including senior roles with branded hotels across Asia. Having graduated from the prestigious Sejong University in Seoul, she spent five years in managerial positions with Hilton in Korea and Malaysia. Heekyung joined the Hyatt Family in 2007 as Revenue Manager at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, and her talent was quickly recognized. She was promoted to the role of Director of Revenue Management for two properties, Grand Hyatt Bangkok and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, before being appointed as Area Director of Revenue Management for Thailand.

In 2019, Heekyung was named as Director of Sales & Marketing for Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Hyatt’s flagship hotel in Thailand – her most recent role before joining Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa. Now, she brings her lifetime of experience and expertise to this five-star resort, which is currently emerging from a transformative renovation that includes the launch of a beach club, new and refreshed culinary venues, a brand-new kids’ club, an art gallery, and upgraded pool villas.

Heekyung will now play a vital role in the repositioning of this stylish beachfront property as one of Vietnam’s leading five-star family resorts. With her proven ability to create effective digital marketing strategies and social media campaigns, as well as strong analytical ability, as demonstrated by her background in revenue management, Heekyung will help Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa to embark on a new era of world-class hospitality.

I am thrilled to be joining Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa at such an exciting time. The rapid recovery of the tourism industry in Vietnam has led to a sharp rise in interest in Danang and the central coast, and we are delighted to invite our global clientele to experience our fully refreshed resort and many fantastic new facilities,” said Ms. Heekyung Chung, Director of Sales & Marketing, Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa.

We can’t wait to officially reveal our revitalized dining and social venues, including a vibrant beach club restaurant with cabanas and live kitchens, our rebranded Italian restaurant, the new Camp Hyatt with its four inspiring outdoor and indoor play zones, a bright and inviting art gallery, revamped pool villas and more. This will enable us to attract affluent travelers to Vietnam and support the country’s tourism recovery,” Heekyung added.

Nestled on 700 meters of soft sand on Vietnam’s central coast, Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa is a five-star family resort that features 198 rooms and suites, 144 one- to three-bedroom residences and 18 three-bedroom villas, plus five outdoor pools, a fitness center, spa, and a diverse selection of restaurants and bars. Under the resort’s renovation project, a series of innovative new venues and facilities are being revealed progressively throughout April, May and June 2023.
