IHG Debuts 6th Vignette Resort in Phuket, A Tourism Win!

IHG Hotels & Resorts - logoIn an unprecedented move, IHG Hotels & Resorts, a global hospitality leader, has announced the expansion of its esteemed Vignette Collection by signing its sixth property in Thailand. Set to grace the shores of Nai Yang Beach, Phuket, this new resort symbolizes the burgeoning luxury market in Thailand and marks a significant milestone in IHG’s journey towards creating a diverse and culturally rich hospitality experience.

Slated to open its doors in 2028, Phuket Nai Yang Beach’s Vignette Collection represents a harmonious blend of luxury and locality, encapsulating the essence of Thailand’s rich heritage and natural beauty. This new venture continues IHG’s collaboration with Dinso Resort Co. Ltd, further cementing their shared vision of delivering unique, immersive experiences to discerning travellers.

Saowarin Chanprakaisi, Senior Director of Development for South East Asia and Korea at IHG, eloquently commented, “The addition of Phuket Nai Yang Beach to our Vignette Collection is a testament to the brand’s strong appeal. Our partners value the distinctive identity of their properties, which is complemented by IHG’s global reach and deep-rooted expertise in luxury and lifestyle hospitality.” This statement underscores IHG’s commitment to preserving the unique character of each property while leveraging its extensive network and resources.

Strategically located just 15 minutes from Phuket International Airport, this new resort is poised to become a beacon of luxury and relaxation. With 115 elegantly designed rooms and suites offering breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea, the property is a sanctuary for those seeking tranquillity and luxury. The resort will feature eight Presidential Suites, each a spacious 200 square meters, alongside four gourmet restaurants, a rooftop bar, expansive meeting spaces, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a spa – all designed to offer an unparalleled guest experience.

Pattranit Mahattanawisit, Managing Director of Dinso Resort Co., Ltd, expressed enthusiasm for this collaboration, stating, “The transformation to the Vignette Collection brand has significantly impacted our properties in Phuket. We’re excited to work with IHG on this and future projects, contributing to Phuket’s evolution as a top destination for both international and domestic travelers.” This reflects a shared vision for elevating the tourism landscape in Thailand, offering unique and lifestyle-centric experiences.

The launch of Phuket Nai Yang Beach, Vignette Collection, coincides with the Phuket Tourist Association’s ambitious goal of attracting 14 million tourists by the end of 2023. The island is already witnessing a resurgence in tourism, surpassing pre-Covid levels. Investment in infrastructure, including a second airport and improved transportation facilities, bolsters Phuket’s appeal as a world-class destination.

Guests at Phuket Nai Yang Beach will have convenient access to Sirinat National Park, a haven for marine life conservation, and two nearby 18-hole championship golf courses catering to various interests and leisure activities.

The Vignette Collection, part of IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, offers travellers unique, one-of-a-kind stays in memorable destinations. With the addition of Phuket Nai Yang Beach, the Collection is on track to reach 100 properties within the next decade, already boasting notable locations like Convent Square Lisbon, Casa da Companhia in Porto, and Yours Truly DC in the U.S., among others.

This expansion reflects a strategic move by IHG to diversify its portfolio and tap into the growing demand for bespoke travel experiences. As the tourism landscape evolves, IHG’s Vignette Collection is perfectly positioned to offer guests a blend of luxury, authenticity, and cultural richness, setting a new benchmark in the world of hospitality.
