Giving back to local communities is one of the pillars of the AccorHotels’ Planet 21 programme, which aims to encourage guests, employees, partners, and members of the local community to participate in events and activities that promote sustainability and goodwill.
As a result, this festive season the team at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra organised to host 40 children supported by the NAT Association for a fun-filled day of activities before inviting them to join the resort’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
On 29th November, the day began when the children arrived at the hotel. They enjoyed lunch at Maya, followed by fun games and activities held at Maya Garden. After this, the children had fun swimming in the pool and playing on the jumping castle and trampolines set up at the Maprow Garden.
After the fun-filled afternoon, the children made their way to the lobby for the tree lighting ceremony, where they performed carols while guests took part in a candle ritual. Soon after, Santa arrived to surprise all the children and they were invited to enjoy a live rendition of Frozen.
