Indian Motorcycle rides into Cooly Rocks On for the third year

Indian Motorcycle, America’s first motorcycle company since 1901, is continuing its reign as the official motorcycle for this year’s Cooly Rocks On festival, 8-12 June. The brand embodies the nostalgic and historic nature of Cooly Rocks On and Indian Motorcycle will have a place right in the centre of the Festival area adjacent to the beach.

“Indian Motorcycle is such an iconic brand that Cooly Rocks On fans will absolutely have to check out during the course of the event from 8-12 June,” said Festival Director, Mark Duckworth.

“They’ve been with us since 2019. The Indian Motorcycle HQ is more than just a motorcycle display by the beach. There’s the Barbering Biker providing live haircut transformations the latest Indian  Motorcycle models and some cool merchandise all on the Coolangatta foreshore.”

“Indian Motorcycle gets its customers involved by welcoming all riders to attend – which is the largest gathering in Australia for Indian Motorcycle. In addition to meeting like-minded owners, riders and pillions, they get to enjoy everything Cooly Rocks On has to offer.”

The spirit of Cooly Rocks On aligns strongly with Indian Motorcycle according to Michael Blundo, Associate Marketing Manager Sr., Australia and New Zealand.

“There is a great synergy between both brands, who continue to pay homage to the classics,” said Michael Blundo. “Cooly Rocks On provides us with the perfect platform to celebrate motors, lifestyle and music.”

The Indian Motorcycle activation will be a space for motoring enthusiasts of all types to gather throughout the weekend, he added.

“It is a welcoming place for all motoring enthusiasts to swing by. Apart from being a place to pit stop and hang out, there will be a collection of Indian Motorcycle models on site, along with plenty of genuine Indian Motorcycle merchandise to stock up on.”

Indian Motorcycle has always had a strong affinity with Australia and New Zealand. In 1967, the legendary Burt Munro at the age of 68 set the world land speed record on his modified Indian Scout at the Bonneville Salt Flats. He was later immortalised in the movie The World’s Fastest Indian.

Limited VIP tickets for all ticketed events and further money can’t buy experiences are now available as are gold and silver tickets available for the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, which will crown Cooly Rocks On’s contestant to go to Elvis Week at Graceland and the Johnny O’Keefe Show, presented by his daughter, Vicky.

Cooly Rocks On starts on Wednesday June 8 and goes through to Sunday June 12 with the vehicles, stars and fashion from yesteryear. Music events are on every day and night along with the static displays.

There are a multitude of accommodation options within a short distance of the city and over 60 flights per week land at Coolangatta Airport from right around Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
