Throughout the hotel, designer Ray Chuang of celebrated Cheng Chung Design has combined the elegance and warmth of teak, evoking Thailand’s local temples and traditional houses, with lighter oak, gold and brushed bronze to stunning effect. The towering pagoda is an iconic sight in the Thai capital and as guests enter the spacious lobby they will be greeted by the elegant 3D outline of a temple and pagoda seen from the Ratcha Woradit Royal Pier and given a modern twist.
The hotel’s 391 beautifully appointed guest rooms, 20 suites and 56 twins blend Thai décor, natural woods and sensuous silks in its design. Contemporary luxury and innovative technology include multi-use desk-dining tables allowing rooms to function as both work and leisure spaces, as do multiple universal adaptor connections. For a perfect night’s sleep, each guest room is equipped with a Serenity Bed™ with USB ports placed on either side. Several rooms feature a full-sized convertible sofa bed.
All rooms are also equipped with intelligent technology, such as climate control based on external temperatures and the position of the sun. Carefully calibrated lighting designed by leading lighting consultants Tino Kwan ensures the appropriate light levels are pre-set for day and night, working and relaxing. Other features include Hilton’s proprietary “Digital Key”: enabling guests to use the Hilton Honors app for a hassle-free check-in and personalisation of their stays before they arrive. The rooms also feature IPTV (Internet Protocol Television), delivering digital TV services such as the hotel directory, room service menu and the ability to stream from other devices.
