UOB LIVE, Bangkok’s new, state-of-the-art live entertainment venue, is set to create music history and launch a new era of entertainment in Asia when it opens its doors with a specially tailored one-night-only concert produced and performed by international superstar Ed Sheeran on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
Set in the heart of the city, the cutting-edge 6,000 capacity venue is located at the 6th floor of EMSPHERE shopping mall, a world class destination that features a diverse array of dining options, and comprehensive entertainment spaces catering to different interests and preferences.
The UOB LIVE Open House event on 10th January 2024 was attended by honored guests including Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok and Thapanee Kiatphaibool Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT); along with executives from The Mall Group, AEG, UOB and many more. A total of over 1,000 industry professionals and honored guests were in attendance to celebrate the Opening Act Announcement, including talented actors such as the likes of Sunny Suwanmethanont and Patricia Good.
Sunny Suwanmethanont expressed his feelings at the UOB LIVE Open House Event saying: “I’m glad that we now have a new state–of–the–art venue such as UOB LIVE nestled in the heart of the city, within a lifestyle epicenter that is EMSPHERE and EM District. UOB LIVE is considered a complete entertainment space that caters to different types of events and functions. A new live entertainment and event venue, that the pride of Thai people.”
Patricia Good added in excitement stating, “I’m very thrilled that a world-class artist like Ed Sheeran will be performing the first Grand Opening Act at UOB LIVE. It is a very rare experience for a concert of such magnitude, that is both so special yet so intimate. I for one am very much looking forward to the concert day on 11th February.”
UOB LIVE is being developed through a strategic alliance that united three industry giants: AEG, a global leader in sports and live entertainment; The Mall Group, renowned for developing Thailand’s premier retail and entertainment complexes; and UOB, a leading bank in Asia. The venue will be operated in partnership with the world’s leading venue manger ASM Global.
Tickets for ‘An Evening with Ed Sheeran’ will exclusively be available to UOB customers only. Eligible Cardmembers have the opportunity to purchase tickets to ‘An Evening with Ed Sheeran’ from 17 January 2024, 12PM (Thailand Time) at www.thaiticketmajor.com. Tickets are priced at 6,800, 5,800 and 4,800 THB. The purchase of tickets is subject to Thai Ticket Major’s terms and conditions and sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
