31 March 2019: JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa participated in the Earth Hour global initiative by switching off non-essential lightings throughout the resort during the hour on Saturday, 30 March from 8.30 – 9.30 pm. This is tenth year that JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa has joined in Earth Hour to raise awareness of global energy efforts.
The JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa also created memorable experiences for the guests during the Earth hour, The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Team invited the guests to actively participate in this global conservation effort by turning off the lights in their rooms; having the candlelight dinner “Dine-in-the-dark” at the Andaman Grill restaurant; offering special sustainable cocktails “#Connect2Earth”; enjoying the spa treatment during the Earth Hour; building the global awareness and action on the importance of nature and environment to our guests and associates and organizing the candlelit activity at the lobby.
Additional, JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa also participated in Marriott International’s drive to raise funds for WWF and posted our Earth Hour efforts picture on Twitter and Instagram with hashtags #MIEarthHour and #Serve360 #earthhour. Marriott International will donate US$ 3 to WWF.
