Kamalaya Koh Samui Introduces Pre-Arrival Functional Testing Assessments for Curated Wellness Experiences

Kamalaya Koh Samui invites guests to experience deeply personalised holistic wellness immersions and more meaningful healing journeys with the introduction of pre-arrival health and wellbeing assessments to further enhance the programmes at the legendary wellness sanctuary.

In partnership with Paar, a London-based holistic vitality and longevity company, Kamalaya welcomes guests to explore their path of wellness with a clear sense of purpose by undergoing bespoke screening prior to arrival in Thailand.

The functional testing assessments have been designed by Paar’s panel of experts to correspond with Kamalaya’s world-renowned wellness programmes including Resilience & Immunity, Enriched Gut, Sleep Enhancement, Detox and Rejuvenate, Ideal Weight, Wellbeing Sabbatical, and Balance & Revitalise. Guests have the option to match their chosen wellness programme or create their own wellbeing and longevity assessment.

Assessments can evaluate skin DNA, antioxidant and vitamin levels, food intolerances, mineral balance and toxicity, microbiome and gut health. Genetic tests for sleep, nutritional and fitness traits are offered while genetic testing for predisposition to diseases, epigenetic and biological age testing are also available. These tests can reveal imbalances in the system and once identified, a programme to reverse the imbalance can be developed.

Personalised results reveal valuable insight into the health and wellness requirements of guests allowing Kamalaya’s professional therapists to customize treatments to meet the needs of each individual. Based on the findings, programmes can be tailored to support the unique biology, genetics and DNA of a guest allowing for a more fulfilling wellness experience at the award-winning island retreat.

Wellness-oriented and results-focused, functional testing can identify any unmet needs that require correcting to improve any imbalances in functions such as sleep, movement, nutrition, hydration, vitality, social connection, purpose or meaning to ultimately preserve future health.

This deep dive into the guest’s health and wellness combines the science of functional testing with the ancient healing traditions of the east and west, holistic therapies and wellness activities available at Kamalaya to optimise health, improve vitality and enhance life quality and increase longevity.

Karina Stewart, founder and Chief Wellness Officer of Kamalaya Koh Samui commented: “The knowledge harnessed from these pre-arrival assessments better equips us at Kamalaya to serve our guests and create bespoke wellness programmes tailormade to suit their distinct healing needs. This is an essential step to embark on a personalised journey to lifelong wellness.”

Kamalaya’s team of expert therapists can also tailor treatments that correspond to Paar’s Women’s Health, Healthy Anti-Ageing and Healthy Ageing Intensive signature programmes.

Located on the south tip of Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand, Kamalaya blends the very best of healing therapies from East and West and is one of the world’s top destinations for nurturing health and wellbeing, pursuing self-development, developing healthier, happier habits, and improving lifestyles.

The introduction of pre arrival assessments is the first in a series of functional wellness services soon to be launched at Kamalaya. Coming soon, IV therapy to replenish energy and restore balance with cutting-edge vitamin treatments supporting health and wellness goals will also be introduced at the holistic sanctuary.

Participants of all programmes at Kamalaya, undergo a Body Bio-impedance Analysis (BIA) at the start of their stay and receive heartfelt guidance and personal consultations with the wellness sanctuary’s team of naturopaths, TCM practitioners, life enhancement mentors, and highly trained therapists. At the end of their stay, guests complete an exit review.
